There are many different options and products for waterproofing horizontal surfaces. Whether it's cold-applied liquid urethane such as Master Seal (Sonoguard), or SBS Torch-On Roofing, we can provide a product that will work for your particular project. Although we can install any type of waterproofing material you require, we recommend and guarantee the following products:
Masterseal (Sonoguard) Traffic Membrane:
Produced by BASF, Masterseal Traffic Membrane is an extremely durable and long lasting coating for decks, parkades, ramps, utility rooms and more. While vinyl sheet membranes have seams and folds that can fail and pull away over time, liquid membranes like Masterseal are uniform and continuous, even in difficult areas. The result is a cleaner look, and a stronger surface.
Masterseal HLM 5000 Below Grade Membrane:
Also by BASF, this 'horizintal liquid membrane' is generally useful for locations that are under cover. This product has a higher build and more stretch, making it ideal for building slabs, slab/wall interfaces and planter boxes. It's also great for underneath tiles, concrete, paving stones or wooden planks.
SBS Torch-On Roofing:
Torch-On is an extremely high wear membrane with strong UV stability. Composed of modified bitumen, it can be partially melted and adhered permanently to the concrete or wooden substrate. Although most commonly used as a roofing material, it is also a great choice for underneath tiles, paving stones, concrete and wooden planks.
